The Old Olive Tree has been a thriving successful restaurant for many years.  In l980 a luncheonette on Main St. was transformed into a Greek eatery.  This was a very unfamiliar site in most towns on Long Island,   A lot of thought went into the decor. 

The ambience had to be very Greek with a pleasant, country atmosphere, the clientele seemed delighted and very pleased in that Patchogue was picked for  this under-taking it didn't take very long for the patrons to experiment and to develop a taste for the traditional Greek fare and for people who were already familiar with the taste of Greek food didn't have to travel to New York City to get it.

There are life long customers that still frequent the Old Olive Tree who very quickly learned about the owners dedication to consistency, freshness and taste , that has prevailed over these many years. 

The business has remained in the hands of the families original owners for 30 years..
